For decades many athletes who use anabolic steroids have supplemented with the SERM Tamoxifen ( Nolvadex ) to combat such issues. Nolva, as it is commonly known acts to block the estrogen from binding to the receptors; it does not reduce estrogen as is commonly thought by many who take it. However, while this is a solid prevention measure, for many it is not enough and only an aromatase inhibitor will do. An aromatase inhibitor will actually reduce the amount of estrogen in the body and bind it what’s left. While perhaps not completely accurate but to give you an idea, for the prevention of Gynecomastia when steroids are present look at Nolva like Aspirin and aromatase inhibitors like morphine; far stronger. The two most common aromatase inhibitors that will in most cases get the job done include Anastrozole ( Arimidex ) and Femara ( Letrozole .)
Two possibilities to mention:
1. If your skin is tender to touch and burning is not affected by body movements and different positions, then it can be shingles (Herpes zoster virus reactivation in one of the spinal nerves). Nausea can be also from shingles. This causes burning pain going like a stripe from the spine to the front. Often (but not always) rash appears after some time. Neurologist would tell you, if there is any available painkiler for your situation.
2. Bulging or herniated disc or some other disorder in your thoracic spine (osteoporosis, arthritis..) could cause pinched spinal nerve. This type of pain would be affected by different body positions and would not be tender to the slight touch. Again, neurologist could say more.
Diane Nancy all out there….
Diane especially relate to your message. Some days I don’t know what to do with myself I have NEVER had anxiety like it. Last 6 month have been hell. I have had to give up full time work, have gone part time. Do not sleep wake at least 3 x in hot sweat. Mornings hell as I don’t know what sort of day is ahead. I’m shakey, dizzy, have had nausea, acid, still have tinnitus, pains, vision problems, anxiety hell. Don’t want to socialise get scared of being asked to functions. I have lost 2 stone. I have tried CBT, EMDR, meditation, yoga, walking, deep breathing, I have not gone on patches due to family history. I have not taken anti depressants. I just keep praying it will all end it’s comforting that we are having same symptoms. Most of my colleagues have sailed through meno only few have had similar so it makes you feel lonely xx
